 We are learning about conservation at the moment and this week we have done lots of reading and writing about Wētā.  Here is some writing I want to share.

Team Awa Olympic Games.

 In team Awa we have been learning about the Olympic Games and using this in our maths.  In class we had our own mini Olympic games to help us explore measurement.   Here is a recount I wrote about this.

Make a Compass

As part of t-shaped literacy this week we read a journal article called Make a Compass. We followed the instructions and recorded the steps.

 We have been learning about our Kawa of Care in class. Here is a slide to show what I have learned.

1  Turn on the Tap.

2 put Soap on your hands.

 3    Rinse your hands off .

4  Dry your hands with a towel. 

5 Turn off the tap.

We have been learning how to make a speech by using OREO format. We had to state our opinion, give reasons and examples then restate our opinion.

Persuasive Writing

Today we listened to a story called Rufus goes to School. We had to decide if the Principal should let Rufus come to school with reasons.

Rocket writing

We have been doing environmental writing about our rocket creations.

Digital Literacy

This was an activity where we could share our experiences that we had in Lockdown with other students.. We used BeeBots and coding to make our own adventures.
